Spirited Discussion - Politics Not Allowed
Wednesday evenings,
5:30 - ? p.m.
Hosted by Mary Lee Kemper at the Blue Goose Sports Café in Sharonville.
There is one rule for this group - NO POLITICS!
There are plenty more things to make fun of, to have intelligent
discussions about, to question, to seek information about, even this grammar.
The food is varied, good, and reasonably priced.
This sports bar has many TVs that are easily ignored or steadily stared at
(your choice!)
and lately we have played buzztime trivia.

Play Night, 8 p.m.
October 16, 2009
Come out and see fellow Mensan Ray Smith
perform the lead in his latest play, the hilarious Unnecessary Farce.
This delightfully humorous offering by Paul Slade Smith
involves a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor,
his female accountant, two undercover cops, and a video camera.
Sounds straightforward but who's taken the money,
who's hired a hit man and why does the accountant keep taking off her clothes?
Details: the show runs October 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 8:00pm
and October 18 and 24 at 3:00pm at Beechmont Players in Anderson.
Plays can sell out so it's recommended that you buy tickets in advance (now!).
Arrive early to avoid the walk from the overflow parking lot.
Check the CAM email list or call Ray Smith to
see if a group is forming to see the play together.

Fold,
Staple and Mucilate, 6:30 p.m.
October 22, 2009
OK, so we don't actually need to
use Mucilage,
but this is how we end the Fourth Thursday Group each month!
Getting the Mencinnatian ready for the Post Office doesn't
take long,
and you get a sneak peak at the contents.
Ethnic Dineout, 6:30 p.m.
October 23, 2009
Let's go back to an old favorite to check out their new location:
family-owned Pit to Plate Barbecue, now on Hamilton Avenue in Mt. Healthy.
Dinners at Pit-to-Plate were always plentiful and very reasonable,
and that looks like it hasn't changed.
This is one of Andy F's favorite places, and John C isn't far behind.
Let
know that you will be there, by 12 noon, Thursday, please.

Pumpkin Carving Party, 7 p.m.
October 24, 2009
Come out and celebrate All Hallows' Eve by carving
a pumpkin in the finest Jack-O'-lantern tradition
or be creative and completely random with your design.
After all, you do need a pumpkin for your front porch, right?
BYOP means Bring Your Own Pumpkin!
Fabulous, white-elephant-style prizes will be provided
for the
scariest, goofiest, most intricate, most intellectual, most artistic and best overall pumpkins.
Whip up a favorite snack to share and BYOP.
Weather permitting, we can even carve outside.
A limited number of pumpkin carving tools will be available
so your own pumpkin carving "weapons" are encouraged.
We'll have plenty of hot mulled cider and perhaps some
hot chocolate - bring beverages if you fancy something different
(and remember - hot mulled cider is always good with rum).
Please contact for questions or directions to her Norwood home.
Come one, come all - enjoy the Monthly Gathering and STILL
have the rest of your weekend free to enjoy your creation!
Note: There will be a Bonus Screening of Fat Albert's Halloween
and It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
(albeit on a very small screen) after carving!
