A. Treasurer – Paulette Wilson – Distributed written statement and bank statements. $4822.04 RG account balance as of 2/29/2008. $3000 15 month CD purchased for 2009 scholarship award money. Approve report M: Plottel 4/0/0
B. LocSec – Rick Magnus – March AMC agenda on CAM web site. Possible membership dues increase of $7/year. Discussion about Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions’ request for part-time teachers and tutors.
C. RG 2008 – Steve Fletcher – Proposed theme: Winter Wonderland.
D. Web site – CE Reutter & Misty Richmond
- Transitional Issues – Misty Richmond to take over webmaster duties.
- Web site updating – CAM web site content has been updated.
- Posting of Mencinnatian – Will this have an effect on the number of print copies needed? Possibly. Print the same number for next month’s mailing.
- To thank and discharge CE Reutter as web team member, leaving Misty Richmond as sole web master. M:Magnus 4/0/0.
E. Mind Games 2009 – Rick Magnus – The bank account is open and the committee is nearly complete.
F. Membership – John Cunningham/Rick Magnus – Two new members, two transfers in, one reinstatement, two transfers out, one death – Jim Kimmel. Membership – 382(+2).
G. Mencinnatian – Andy Freede – Extend reimbursement deadline for submission of receipts to editor to one year. M:Magnus 4/0/0
H. Scholarship – Tom Vonderahe - All three local winners moved forward, as well as the fourth place finisher.
I. Gifted Children – Heidi Macneal – n/a
J. Activities – Travel log on March 22 @ Jill & Mike’s of Sheila & Jerry Dick’s trek across Nepal and India. Ask Renee about APR games night.
VI. New Business
A. Discussion & Planning – Activities for APR and beyond – APR 26 Special Olympics and after party. APR 12? Nursing Home – Heartland in Madeira is interested. Misty Richmond to chair the June picnic.
B. Discussion – Publicity of non-Mensa events/opportunities on web site and Mencinnatian – Text? Calendar? Display? By members/non-members? Moved - No fee for non-profit by members for general public, 50% discount for commercial ventures (Mensans only?). This does not apply to members advertising social events and gatherings.
