    1. Excomm members – Rick Magnus, Bryan Mott, Virginia Plottel, CE Reutter, Peggy Stapleton
    2. Guests – Kim LeBlanc, Phil Plottel
  3. Agenda Modifications/Approval – No changes to the proposed agenda
  4. Correction/Approval of minutes of meeting held 5/18/08 – No changes.  Move to approve the minutes by Peggy Stapleton – 5/0/0 Approved
  5. Reports
    1. 2008 RG – Steve Fletcher – 58 pre-registrations as of June 8, 2008
    2. LocSec – Rick Magnus – Cincinnati Area Mensa is ranked 41st in membership nationally.  Testing Day on 10/18/2008, Rebecca Cornett to be the National Testing Coordinator.  National will reimburse Excomm for contacting lapsed members – The deadline is 8/1/08.  Details for reimbursement are unknown.  CAM has 73 lapsed members – should Excomm contact lapsed members?  Chat functionality added to AML Today online community.
    3. Treasurer – Paulette Wilson – CAM is in good shape financially and may be able to increase the scholarship award.  Rick thinks that extra money should be spent on things which will enhance awareness of Mensa rather than on activities which only benefit members.  Move to accept the Treasurer's Report by Virginia Plottel.  5/0/0 Approved.
    4. Membership – John Cunningham/Rick Magnus – 323 Members, 8 renewals, 2 transfers out, 3 new.  Balance - +9
    5. Mind Games 2009 – 70 registrations as of 6/8/08.  The next price break for registration is July and December after that.  Hospitality and registration volunteers are needed.  Registrants to receive a $25 meal voucher.  The batteries for games needing batteries are to be included by the game's manufacturer.
    6. Web site – Misty Richmond – Misty has been nominated for the Best Mid-Size Web Site award.
    7. CincyMensa Yahoo Group – Misty Richmond – Lapsed members from prior years have been purged from the group.
    8. Scholarship – awaiting results
    9. Activities
      1. Picnic – Successful event.  There was some confusion over the location and directions to the picnic's location.
    10. Mencinnatian – The Mencinnatian is now being posted to the CAM & AML web sites.

    1. To designate Testing Coordinator/Proctor Coordinator as the group's Mensa Testing Day Coordinator, to be in place indefinitely.  Moved by CE Reutter, 5/0/0 Approved
    2. Activities
      1. Peggy's Clubhouse 8/9/08 for games
      2. Verale’s pool party 7/12/08
      3. Games night at Marty Meighen's, 6/27/08 @ 7:30PM
    3. Discussion:  Financial Assistance Policy – No changes have been made to the draft policy and no response from Verona regarding the policy.  Section I-A is generally considered to be acceptable.  In section I-B, "…in the form of loans" is to be changed to "…in the form of interest-free loans", and the last sentence is to be removed.  For the maximum number of loans and the amount to be loaned, 3 years and 100% seem to be popular.  General consensus is that Excomm approval for loans should be required.
    4. Move to appoint Mike Eilers, Paulette Wilson, and Barry Austern (Chairman) to the Election Committee by Virginia Plottel, 5/0/0 Approved
  8. Move to excuse the absence of Heidi Macneal from the June Excomm meeting by CE Reutter, 5/0/0 Approved.

    1. Unanimously moved, seconded, and passed, to congratulate Misty Richmond for the web site nomination
    2. Wishing for good health of Verona and Ralph
