Executive Committee Meeting
Committee Members: Bob Charlton, Dave MacGregor, Rick Magnus, C.E. Reutter, Peggy Stapleton, Paulette Wilson. Absent: John Schneder (with notice)
Call to order at 1708 local.
August meeting minutes approved; M:Magnus, S:Reutter, 3/0/2 (MacGregor, Wilson).
LocSec Report: Two coupons in the September MensaBulletin for $5 off testing on MTD, this will be posted on the CAM Yahoo Group; There is an A&E network New Member benefit.
Membership: 368 members currently in CAM.
Testing: Misty Richmond has been appointed Testing Coordinator; October 20 is Mensa Test Day, Verale Phillips will proctor.
Treasurer: Not all documents were assembled and the approval of the August and September Treasurer’s Reports were tabled until October; The Mensa finances are in good shape; (3) CDs that will mature prior to 2008 Mensa scholarships were purchased from Union Savings Bank; The service charges from the bank are still a small issue; Discussion regarding transferring the checking account to USB.
Editor: 420 copies of the Mencinnatian will be printed.
RG 2007: 51 people registered.

Old Business: Discussion regarding CAM submitting a bid to host Mind Games 2009. Rick Magnus has contacted two hotels and offered to prepare a bid for ExComm to review at the November meeting. Motion to authorize R. Magnus to proceed: M/Charlton, S/Stapleton, 5/0/1(Wilson).
Discussion regarding yearly printed directory, with alternating alphabetical listing and geographic (zip code) listing. Motion to have only an alphabetical listing every other year: M/Charlton, S/Stapleton, 3(Charlton, Reutter, Stapleton)/2/1(Wilson).
Electronic newsletter distribution: No report.
New ExComm members congratulated: Virginia Boatman, Bob Charlton, Rick Magnus, Brian Mott, Peggy Stapleton. Discussion about local members possibly being interested in being appointed to fill the seventh position.
New Business: The founder of www.EventsInCincinnati.com, a local Mensa member, has offered to allow CAM to list events on their website. It was decided that only Test Dates and locations will be listed because most other events listings are for members/guests only. Verify with Misty Richmond and John Cunningham prior to posting since their contact information will be listed. C.E. (webmistress) will follow up.
