2010 Ex Comm Candidate

Candidate Statement:
Several years ago I gave considerable thought as to why I keep running for Ex-Comm. This is what I came up with and the facts have not changed.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm the one that looks like Santa Claus, loves military history and will talk about almost anything.
Currently, I'm the host for both the Tuesday and Thursday spirited Discussion Groups.
I've been a member of CAM since 1967 (when LBJ was in office) and have delighted in being a part of an organization that I care very deeply about.
Over the years I've worked at every single one of our RG's, ever since they started, back in the dark ages of 1982 (when Reagan was in his first term).
When we hosted the best Mensa AG ever, I worked that one too. Working at RG's is actually great fun; if you haven't volunteered for one yet, try it! The experience is an enriching one, and its more fun than is legal.
For me the essence of Mensa has always been that of an extended family, full of stimulation and support, with just enough quirkiness to make it endlessly fascinating. Family? You bet! Now, eat your vegetables!
I've been privileged to serve on the EX-Comm of CAM, both as member and Loc-Sec, for close to thirty years, and I hope to continue doing so. Your vote will be greatly appreciated.
